Huawei Mate20 / Mate20 Pro Australian price

The Mate 20 Pro will cost $1599 to buy outright in Australia. The Mate 20 will be set you back a more reasonable $1099. Both phones come bundled with a pair of wireless Huawei Freebuds valued at RRP $199. (The Mate20 Pro also comes with an additional pre-order freebie, which we’ll get to in a moment.)

The Mate 20’s price point is in that sub-$1200 sweet spot that makes it a very compelling offer; especially if you’re buying outright. But you will be missing out on some excellent features beyond a larger screen. This is one occasion where going for the premium model probably makes sense.

As always, you might be able to shave a few bucks off the RRP by buying from online retailers, but don’t expect to save much for the first few months. On the plus side, the P20 Pro should drop further in price any day now.

Huawei Mate20 / Mate20 Pro Australian availability

The Huawei Mate20 Pro will be available in Australia on November 1, 2018. You can pre-order the device from today. Customers that pre-order the Mate20 Pro will score a bonus Huawei wireless charger valued at $149.

You’ll be able to purchase both models on a variety of plans from Optus and Vodafone. They will also be available from select Aussie retailers including JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman and Kogan.
