From 9am tomorrow (May 4), new and upgrading customer will be able to apply for Virgin Mobile’s 12-month $50 SIM plan which includes a generous monthly data allowance of 17GB. (That’s an extra 2GB per month compared to the normal plan.)

The plan comes with unlimited local calls and text, unmetered music streaming and $300 worth of international calls. Velocity members also get 1000 bonus Velocity points and 10 per cent off their plan fee each month.

Click on the table below for an in-depth breakdown of what’s included. (Note: The extra 2GB of data is only available if you sign up on May 4.)

Note that this is a BYO plan which means you’ll need to supply your own phone. For more details, head to Virgin Mobile’s website.
