Season Rice, Eggs, Popcorn And More With Instant Noodles Flavour Packets

Instant noodles flavour packets (and the resulting broth) may be a little salty, but it’s their sodium-packed nature that make them perfect for seasoning a whole variety of foods, from popcorn to gravy.

The video above, from Japanese YouTubers TabiEats, offers up five noodle-blasted creations, but I will definitely incorporate these three into my repertoire:

  • Noodle Popcorn: Pop some corn, either in the microwave or on the stove and drizzle on some butter. Then, open up the noodle seasoning packet of your choosing and sprinkle it all over, shaking the popcorn to distribute it evenly.
  • Noodle-Seasoned Egg: Take a medium or hard-boiled egg, place it in a bowl and ladle in enough broth to completely cover it. Wrap the bowl with Glad wrap and place it in the fridge overnight. Take the egg out, slice it in half and enjoy your seasoned egg.
  • Noodle Salad Dressing: Combine four tablespoons of noodle broth, one tablespoon of olive oil, two tablespoons of vinegar (I would use rice or white vinegar), one tablespoon of sugar and salt to taste. Whisk to combine and put it on a pile of green leaves.

While we’re on the subject, let us not forget my personal favourite: noodle dip. It’s just a seasoning packet mixed into some sour cream, but it will change your damn life.
