Use Up Leftover Soup By Turning It Into A Sauce

If you’re tired of eating that huge batch of soup you made, or you’re just not sure what to do with the last dredges, grab your blender. You can turn it into a sauce that you can use with a bunch of other meals.

Sarah Britton of My New Roots shared a clever tip for using up leftover sauce on her Instagram: blend it up and use it as a sauce. You’ll need a high-powered blender or food processor, but other than that all you have to worry about is seasoning the soup sauce to taste.

And if you’re working with a thinner soup to start, you might actually need to thicken it up. Blend up a thickening agent like cooked potato, cornflour or even some white beans and you should be all set. Now you have a nice sauce you can use on grains, vegetables, chicken, or fish.
