Vodafone has unveiled its iPhone 7 and 7 Plus pricing ahead of Australian pre-order availability and they’re looking pretty good. The plans start at $40 a month (plus handset repayments) for a total of $76. Here’s the full list of plans for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
The iPhone 7 will be available on Vodafone’s Red mobile plans which start at $40 a month. All plans are on a 24-month contract, with monthly handset repayments depending on the plan and model. Data ranges from a measly 1GB on the $40 plan to 24GB on the top-range $120 offering. Ever plan includes unlimited national calls and national text messages. (For people who still use their phones for that stuff.)

It’s worth noting that Vodafone periodically provides bonus data deals to new customers. Last year, the telco added up to 5GB of extra data to coincide with the launch of the iPhone 6s. So keep an eye on its special offers in the coming weeks.
Even if there’s no bonus data this time around, the plans are still on par with the iPhone 6s. For example, the entry-level $40 plan for the 32GB iPhone 7 nets 1GB of data with monthly handset repayments of $19. The same plan for the iPhone 6s only bagged you 500MB of data with monthly handset repayments of $30. So you’re getting more data for better prices, compared to last year.
On the other hand, almost every iPhone 7 plan now includes a monthly handset repayment, whereas last year all plans $80 and above gave you the handset for free — so it really depends on your specific data needs.

Is that right that the 7 and 7+ with 9GB options cost exactly the same each month? That can’t be right…
