Reader tatersneggs put together this Rainmeter-powered desktop that’s flashy enough, but actually doesn’t use a lot of widgets to get a neat, personal look. Here’s how he set it up.
This is Windows, of course — and if you’re new to Rainmeter you should consider checking out our guide to Rainmeter to help you get started.
Once you’re familiar with it, here’s what you’ll need:
- The wallpaper
- The Rainmeter system tweaking and monitoring tool for Windows
- The Encoded skin for Rainmeter and the Elegance 2 skin together for the time/date display and weather
- The Minimalistic System Info skin for Rainmeter for the system monitors
That’s all there is to it. Tatersneggs even made a tutorial video showing you how to set it all up, which you can check out at YouTube here if you want to see how it’s done. Otherwise, try it yourself, or hit the link below to share your thoughts or ask your questions!
