Video: We all procrastinate now and then. While it might feel like we procrastinate out of laziness or a lack of willpower, the root of the problem is often fear, as the video above from The School of Life illustrates.

Both a fear of failure and a fear of success (high expectations are stressful) lead us to put things off. We want everything to be perfect. The only way to get over the anxiety of a task or project, however, is to start doing it.

Most of us know this intuitively, I think, but the very relatable video above captures what’s in our heads when we procrastinate.
