The latest salary figures from recruitment firm Peoplebank suggest that IT salaries are still largely constant in Australia — but there is hope on the horizon.

While salaries were relatively flat last quarter, there are some slight signs of improvement, and Peoplebank is predicting increased demand in 2015. That doesn't mean salaries will rise rapidly, but you should be able to choose more interesting positions rather than just having to settle for whatever is going.
Here's our regular roundup of the current median salaries recruiters are offering for selected roles, covering the three months ending February 2015. All figures are exclusive of superannuation, commissions or other benefits. (For a perspective on contractor pay across Australia, check out the recent figures from ITCRA.)

lol completely ignores those labelled as "computer technicians" who are severly underpaid they don't even get desktop suport wages.......
Yep, I'm on around $52,000 and my position covers all sorts of crap, not just computers. Safes, change tanks, printers, POS equipment etc
Desktop/PC Support in SA is false. I couldn't even get a job here till almost 10 months later & the average pay is still $25-$27hr or $60k including super. No company I've applied for pays that much, it's not the Sydney market price!
65K for Desktop support in NSW!? I'm on $22 an hour full time for at least level 2 support
Do the salaries above include paid leave?
