Ziner Is A Gorgeous Free News Reader That Syncs With Feedly

iOS: Our favourite news reader for the iPhone is still Reeder, but there have been some other strong contenders lately. Unread is a solid option, and personally, I’ve fallen in love with Ziner because it combines many of Reeder’s best features for the grand price of free.

Ziner is a beautiful app that syncs with your Feedly — and right now, it works only with Feedly as it doesn’t support any other means of getting a news feed. Once you’re synced, it works flawlessly. Swipe in from the left and you’ll see your categories, while the main screen is a feed of all the RSS subscriptions.

Tap any link and Ziner will open it in a minimalist reading pane. Swipe left and right to go to the next or previous article. In the app’s settings, you can choose the font size and toggle between serif and sans serif fonts, as well as different types of themes. Ziner works with Readbility, opens articles in Chrome or Safari, and can share articles via AirDrop or several third-party apps.

The only thing missing for me right now is tagging. Apart from that, as a Feedly user, I’m a Ziner convert now.
