Feedly Updates iOS App With Quick Navigation, iPad Design, Night Theme

iOS: Feedly is a fantastic news reader app for iPhones and iPads, and our favourite replacement for the still-missed Google Reader. A new update, v18.0.5, makes it better than ever before, with a new “speed reading” feature for quick navigation, a night theme, and a new design for iPads.

Speed reading lets the user switch from one article to the next by tapping the right edge of the screen. The update also includes faster image processing and a new “Mark All As Read” card with reading stats.

Meanwhile, Feedly has also launched a new URL shortener (www.feedly.com/e) which users will need to activate in their account preferences. While clicking the link will usually open the Web page, on Twitter, users can have the article open in Feedly instead.
