Patch Tuesday: Recent Fixes Not Included

OK, it does not feel like a month since the last set of Patch Tuesday updates. The latest set of Microsoft security updates affect Windows, IE and Office, but don’t fix the Word exploit we wrote about last week.

This should not come as a surprise. Part of the point of the monthly cycle is that it provides a predictable release cycle and allows for testing; that won’t happen if patches are shoehorned in at the last minute. Yet Microsoft considered the issue significant enough to make it the subject of a separate post, linked below. Other than that, it’s the usual mixed group (and as usual, most systems will require a reboot).
