Make Handles And Grips Comfortable To Hold With Sugru

Everyone hates lifting a heavy box, milk crate, or toolbox and having the handle dig into your hands while you’re carrying it. It hurts, it sucks and it’s terrible — but a little Sugru can fix it and make those handles and grips easier on your hands.

The original tip comes in the way of a method to make toolbox handles more comfortable from Instructables User Mobilemakerspace. Lifting a heavy toolbox and carrying it around can get painful and dig into your fingers after long, but wrap a little Sugru around the handle, mould it to fit your fingers and it’s much more comfortable. You can see how simple it is in the photo above.

In my case, I love milk crates, but those hard plastic handles are no fun for anyone, especially when they’re full of books, records, or other items. I often like to carry records to friends’ houses or use milk crates as a handy way to transport items, and a little Sugru offers a much more permanent and comfortable option compared to my old solution, which is to just wrap some washcloths around the handles.
