Google Wants To Know If You Think Its Search Policies Suck

Second-guessing the rules which control Google’s search results is a major time sink for anyone maintaining a web site. Somewhat unusually, Google is actually asking for user feedback on its search policies and how they can impact site listings.

To stop the process becoming collection ground for ‘Y MY HOT SITE NO TOP RANKINGS’ semi-literate whining, Google is also asking people to suggest policy improvements that would eliminate the issue in question. There’s no promise the changes will be made, but it’s helpful to have a feedback mechanism that isn’t simply an ignored public forum.
