Windows Phone 8 has lots of new features, but the simple addition of a built-in system to take screenshots is very welcome. Tap the power button on your phone and the Start button simultaneously to capture the screen and have it saved in the Photos Hub. Useful. [via Windows Phone Blog]

LOL – Windows Phone should be fairly immune to law suits from patent trolls such as Apple.
Sorting out all the rediculous patents around such mundane things as pressing two buttons together to take a screenshot is something microsoft did as part of it’s R&D costs of the product and something Google should’ve thought about years ago.
BTW In android the shortcut is Power + volume down for any phone running Android 4.0 or higher. This will put the screenshot into /mnt/sdcard/Pictures/Screenshots/
Prior to that release it really depends on the model number and brand of the device.
