Livescribe and Dropbox Integration

The Livescribe system is quite popular. Many or our journo mates use them and they’re starting to pop up in schools and other places as well. Livescribe’s Echo smartpen now sends your notes straight to Dropbox for sync and backup.

Livescribe synchronises handwritten notes with audio recordings – called pencasts. The accompanying software enables you to have a Livescribe folder within your Dropbox set up so that notes and audio are sent to the cloud.

This is a nice move as it means that your data is backed up and, if you’ve set up Dropbox on multiple machines, then you can access that information as you swap between computers or from your smartphone or tablet.

There’s a short video tutorial [YouTube] that runs through how to set this up.
