Android: If you’ve ever had the luxury of using the MIUI ROM on your Android device, you already understand how good it looks and how customisable it is. We love it too, but if you want a taste of what MIUI offers without having to root your device, back it up, install a new ROM, and restore your data, you can try MiLocker, a lockscreen utility that brings MIUI’s customisable lock screens to any Android device, including stock devices that haven’t been rooted.
There are some times when you just don’t want to root your Android device — say if it’s not yours, or you just got it and it existing utilities don’t work on it for some reason, or you wouldn’t mind rooting it but you don’t want to install a new ROM. If you don’t want to root or install MIUI just yet but wouldn’t mind a prettier lock screen, MiLocker offers all of MIUI’s basic lock screens and then some, and also allows you to set the animations and lock-screen patterns to work the way you like.
If you don’t like the options in the app, additional wallpapers and lock screens are available to download in the app, for free.
MiLocker doesn’t have the functionality of something like previously mentioned WidgetLocker, but it’s a fun and attractive way to customise your Android device in a way that makes it really personal.
