This week’s featured desktop celebrates the waning northern summer sun in all of its beauty. Created by Flickr user Kin-Ho Ma, this desktop is beautiful, informative and easy-to-use without being overwhelming or distracting from the gorgeous wallpaper.
If you like the look and want it on your desktop, here’s what you’ll need:
- The See the World wallpaper from Gaia 10
- Rainmeter and the Enigma theme to embed the system information on the right, and “sunset” icon for the time on the desktop
- Elementary for Rainmeter for the weather widget
- Pragmatic 3.0 for Rainmeter for the clock (and the Bauhaus font to replace the default font
- Horizontal Dock v.2 for Rainmeter for the dock icons just under the clock
- The Token icon set to replace the taskbar icons
If you’re an OS X or Linux user, you should be able to use GeekTool or Conky (respectively) to recreate the desktop customisations in this look for your operating system of choice. If you do, be sure to share it in the comments!
