I’m Coming Automatically Emails Notifications When You’re Nearby

Ever want to let someone know when you’re on your way over? I’m Coming is a nifty little iPhone app that alerts designated people when you’re approaching their location.

If you’re driving to a friend’s house and want to let them know when you’re almost there, you might think to send them a text or an email. Even at a stoplight, however, that’s not exactly the safest thing you can do. That’s where I’m Coming comes in. It lets you set points on a map – such as your friend’s house or office – and emails an alert when you’re nearby. You can turn I’m Coming on and off with an easy switch if you don’t want alerts sent out every time you pass their location. I’m Coming also runs nicely in the background so you can use your phone for other things while in the car—not that you should do that. It would be nice to have a few more options, like only sending alerts during certain windows of time and having more options when contacting people (namely SMS), but so far it’s a pretty decent start. Here’s I’m Coming in Action:

I’m Coming is available right now in the iTunes App Store for just $1.19.
