Google has opened up pre-orders for its Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P Android Marshmallow smartphones in Australia. Here are the specifications, pricing and availability for both devices.
The Nexus 5X, built by LG, is the successor of the popular Nexus 5. With a 5.2-inch screen, it’s compact and light-weight with a 12 megapixel rear camera. While it features a plastic casing, the device still feels quite sturdy.
The 5.7-inch Nexus 6P is made by Huawei and is the more premium option out of the two. Stand-out features include a full metal body design and a quad high definition (QHD) screen.
Google has put a lot of emphasis on the improved cameras on both the Nexus 5X and the 6P. They are optimised for low light, have improved HDR+ to make photos look more dynamic and a smarter burst shot function.
Both devices also use USB type C which supports fast charging. According to Google, you can get four hours and seven hours from the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, respectively, after just a 10 minute charge.

i think the N5X is free on the $70 plan not $60

hopefully someone like kogan can come through with a decently priced outright buy!
Kogan sells them much cheaper…..although they’re pretty much sold out for the moment
$659 for the 32GB 5X isn’t *too* bad.
I keep hearing that the battery on the 6P isn’t that great…that’s about the only thing that’s making me hesitant about buying a new Nexus phone.
Is telstra not doing the 6P?
Overprice. All I see is overprice. The 64GB model is sold at most $500 in the US and you it’s sold twice the price here in Australia. What gives??
