Tossing a salad can feel like a waste of time when the delicious dressing (and your tasty toppings) ends up at the bottom of the bowl. Instead, dress your salad in stages. You’ll use less dressing and you’ll never lose the best bits at the bottom again.

Chris Morocco suggests that adding your dressing in stages provides an even coating throughout the salads and elevates the experience for everyone enjoying the dish. For example, if you’re building a salad, add a layer of lettuce, tomato, and whatever other toppings you like. Dress that evenly, then build another layer on top of that.
