  • Scientists have discovered a new species of dinosaur that was basically a winged dragon. The “Azhdarchidan” had a wingspan of about 10-12 metres; that’s about the same length as your average bus. You probably killed something similar in Skyrim.
  • Guardians Of The Galaxy was a pretty spectacular movie. With its rogue’s gallery of likeable heroes, thrilling action set pieces and lashings of PG-friendly humour, it was arguably the best Marvel superhero movie to date. It also proved beyond doubt that a Star Fox movie would totally work.
  • Hafthor Bjornsson — AKA Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane in Game Of Thrones is now officially the strongest man in Europe. Click here to watch Bjornsson blitz the 2014 European Strongest Man competition, before giving the best victory speech ever.
  • In other tank news, the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is looking to make armored vehicles sleeker, faster and deadlier. Gizmodo has the report.
