Set Your Own Prices For StoryBundle Ebooks

New service StoryBundle packages quality, DRM-free indie books and sells them to you for however much you think they’re worth. It’s the creation of my good friend and former Lifehacker editor Jason Chen, who wanted a service “where independent authors can get exposure and readers can get quality ebooks without having to sift through list after list of titles”.

The site’s first bundle, called the Big Bang Bundle, is a five-book collection of independent science fiction. You pay what you think the five books are worth, and you get them in a DRM-free ebook format that will work on any device you throw at it, whether it’s a Kindle, an iPad or something else. If you happen to think the initial bundle of five books is worth at least $US7, you also get two bonus books. You can also choose to donate a portion of your purchase to nonprofit organisations.

The sale lasts for the next 20 days.
