Lifehacker Wins At The Lizzies

We can’t resist boasting a little bit here: the 2010 Microsoft IT Journalism Awards (think of it as the Oscars for people in Australia who write about technology) were held in Sydney on Friday. Lifehacker and all our sibling Allure Media tech titles were big winners on the night.

Lifehacker editor Angus Kidman took home the prize for Best Consumer Technology Journalist. Lifehacker also scored a Highly Commended for Best Personal Technology Coverage. Given that the winner in that category was Gizmodo, we’re pretty happy with the result.

Meanwhile, Kotaku swept the field in the gaming category, with the site winning Best Gaming Coverage and editor Mark Serrels winning Best Gaming Journalist.

Thanks to the judges for the recognition, and as ever our biggest thanks of all to all our readers — it’s a privilege to be able to write for such an informed and enthusiastic audience.
