Lifehacker Australia Dominates IT Journalism Awards

Lifehacker.com.au has won the Gold Logie of tech journalism, after being named Best Title in the 12th annual Australian IT Journalism Awards.

The gala ceremony was held last Friday evening at Luna Park’s Crystal Ballroom and attended by almost 400 tech journalists, IT professionals and industry execs.

Lifehacker Australia’s further major honours included Best Website (which went to sister-site Gizmodo last year) and, for the second year running, Lifehacker also took home Best Personal Technology Coverage.

Editor Angus Kidman received a Highly Commended award as Best Tech Industry Journalist, while journalist Chris Jager picked up Highly Commended honours as Best Columnist.

Lifehacker was also named a finalist across several additional categories, including Best Business Tech Coverage and Best Tech Industry Journalist.

As publisher, I’d like to thank Angus and Chris for their relentless consumer advocacy and amazing IT Pro coverage. This week Angus is in Houston uncovering fresh IT insights from TechEd North America.

Huge props also to Elly Hart and Logan Booker, Lifehacker Australia’s night and weekend editors.
And congratulations to Kotaku for winning Best Gaming Coverage.

Last but not least: a massive thank you to everyone who reads and comments on Lifehacker.

Allure Media is thrilled that we continue to be recognised as the country’s most outstanding technology publisher. Lifehacker, Gizmodo and Kotaku appreciate your support.
