Last month, we reported that the Samsung Galaxy S10 might come with five cameras – two in the front and three in the rear. Today, a fresh S10 leak has significantly bolstered this theory. If true, it means the S10 will almost certainly have a much better camera than the Galaxy Note 9 and might just be worth holding out for. Here are the details.
A report spotted on ET News appears to confirm a triple rear camera for the Samsung Galaxy S10. If the leaked details are genuine, the trio will consist of a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 13-megapixel telephoto lens with up to 3x optical zoom and 16-megapixel super wide-angle camera.
In July, the Korean news site The Bell made similar claims about the S10’s camera. According to the Bell report, the super wide angle camera will sport a 120-degree field of view. It also claimed that there would be two cameras in the front with a second lens dedicated to selfies.
Of course, none of this has been confirmed by anyone at Samsung. However, it’s worth noting that both news sites have a good track record when it comes to phone leaks.
If the S10 does come with three rear cameras, Samsung fans might want to skip the Note 9 and wait for this phone instead. As the Huawei P20 Pro showed, having three cameras really does result in superior photos – it’s not just a gimmick.
Samsung will likely show off the Galaxy S10 at CES 2019 or Mobile World Congress 2019 in January and February, respectively.

Today’s noteworthy leaks centre around a trio of front-facing cameras (or was that yesterday?), a 3D-face scanner, an “absolute ripper” of a CPU and a fingerprint sensor embedded right into the display. Here’s everything you need to know.”]
