What business apps are the most popular with Australian companies? Let’s find out.
The list is based on anonymised customer data from global secure identity management vendor Okta. Companies employees use Okta to login to devices, apps and services and the vendor itself oversees millions of daily authentications and verifications globally.
From its data on Australian customers, Okta has created a list on the 10 most popular enterprise apps used by local companies:
- Microsoft Office 365
- Box
- Amazon Web Services
- G Suite
- Salesforce
- Confluence
- JIRA
- Slack
- Xero
- Dropbox
Globally, the top 10 most popular apps are as follows:
- Microsoft Office 365
- Salesforce
- Box
- Amazon Web Services
- G Suite
- Concur
- JIRA
- Slack
- Zendesk
- ADP
Slack has seen tremendous success globally and locally, which has impacted the popularity of JIRA and Yammer, according to Okta. But Slack is facing some stiff competition from the upcoming Microsoft Teams.
The five fastest growing apps in Australia over a six-month period last year were MailChimp, Slack, Jira, Xero and Amazon Web Services.
Okta also noted that more than 50% of the apps accessed through the vendor are not provided by IT departments.
“As the lines blur between work and personal lives, businesses clearly understand the importance of securing employee access to all apps,” Okta said in its Business @ Work report. The five most popular personal apps in Australia are:
- Windows Live
- Ebay
