Microsoft has released Windows 10 Mobile Preview Build 14322 for Windows Insider program participants. The new build has a swathe of improvements with a focus on refining the mobile OS’ Action Centre and notifications as well as added functionalities for Cortana. Here are the details.
Windows Mobile 10 was finally launched last month and was met with a bit of controversy over the limited range of phones it was compatible with. This hasn’t deterred Microsoft from working on fine-tuning the operating system and this Preview Build releases carries a host of changes.
There are visual changes to the Action Centre, which aggregates notifications and frequently used functions to make everything look cleaner. The way that notifications are displayed and prioritised have also been updated. Users can customise the priority of each application’s notifications.
Cortana has been given some love as well in this Windows 10 Mobile Preview Build. Users now have more ways to create Cortana reminders.
Microsoft Insiders who want to test out this new build should bear in mind that it is only compatible with a selected range of mobile devices. The list can be found here.
