IT infrastructure consultancy Thomas Duryea makes its Melbourne home in a former factory site that retains a distinct old-world charm. If you’d like to work in an office with castle-style doors, wooden floors and high ceilings, you’ve come to the right place.
While the exterior of the building remained intact (and is subject to heritage development conditions which even dictate the size of external signage), the building was largely a shell when Thomas Duryea moved in. CEO Andrew Thomas explained that the company initially operated from the ground floor, and gradually expanded to fill the remaining two floors with an open-plan hot-desking design with a colonial feel.
