I love using Night Mode for apps and sites whenever possible. Darker colours are easier on your eyes, even during the daytime, and you can even save a little battery power on your laptop or smartphone by trading a bright white screen for something a little more subdued.
Now I’ve added one more night mode to my list: Trello.
I use Trello to organise pretty much everything in my life. The background of the site is typically a bright blue, which is better than white but still can get to be a bit much, especially if you have it open all day like I do.
A third-party developer and fellow Trello enthusiast recently came up with a solution in the form of a Chrome extension. With it, you can transform your Trello board into a darker hue during the evening hours (or forever) when you’re viewing it in a dark place, and then change it back to that bright blue when you’re ready (or, you know, never).
If you’re a Trello user, you can nab the Chrome extension for free here.
