Make Tastier Scrambled Eggs By Adding Extra Yolks

The perfect scrambled eggs have a creamy texture, but are also full of flavour. Adding a few white-free yolks to your mix is an easy way to ensure your eggs will taste better than ever.

This video from the America’s Test Kitchen YouTube channel demonstrates several tips for achieving the ideal scrambled eggs, including adding extra yolks to your batch. Egg whites are rich in proteins, helping the eggs solidify as you cook them, but they’re also filled with water.

Yolks, however, are filled with healthy fat and most of the flavour. When you add a couple extra yolks to your scramble you’ll end up with a tastier breakfast, and the fat in the yolks will help prevent any overcooking that may occur. The leftover egg whites can be stored in the fridge or frozen to be used later for cooking or baking.
