Mac: Spotlight search is great, but some search terms come up with a ton of different document categories. OS X Daily points out that you can easy jump between those different categories with a keyboard shortcut. Start by pulling up Spotlight (Command+Space), then type in your search term. Once the results are displayed, hold down the Command key and press the up and down arrows to jump between each category. This makes it a heck of a lot easier to use.

According to research conducted by recruitment agency Greythorn, almost half of Australian tech workers are actively seeking for new jobs while another 40% are prepared to consider a change for the right offer. And they're saying lack of training and career development are major drivers. This is unsurprising when you consider that more and more roles are now contracted rather than permanent so employers can offload the need to deliver career advancement and skill development to individuals rather than doing it themselves.
It's no surprise that the the tech community is up in arms over the passing of the Telecommunications and Other Legislation Amendment (Assistance and Access) bill last week. There is widespread concern that the bill will result in Australians working for technology companies will lose jobs here and abroad and that products and services developed here will no longer be trusted by the international community.
