Android (5.0 and up): Android has a pretty powerful tool that allows you to see what's been using your phone's battery since it was last charged. If you're using it often, this shortcut makes it easier to get to. To access battery stats quicker, simply pull down the Quick Settings shade (which you can do by swiping down from the top of the screen twice with one finger, or once with two fingers). Then, tap the battery icon at the top of the screen, as seen above. Handy, right? It's not a life-changing shortcut by any means, but it's nice to know that's there, rather than having to dive into the Settings app every time.

Google has never really had a great strategy for podcasts, leaving Android users to hunt for third-party apps to manage their subscriptions and play new episodes. (Apple's standalone Podcasts app isn't very good either, but at least it exists.) Now, it looks like the search giant finally has some semblance of a solution that should make it easier to listen to podcasts across your Google and Android devices.
