Gmail's 'Undo Send' Button Graduates From The Experimental Labs

Briefly: Undo send, one of Gmail's best experimental features, is officially available to all after being a Gmail Labs feature for many years. Just head to Settings > General and scroll down to "Undo Send" to turn it on. [via Gizmodo]

    How does it work?

Just delays sending for 30 seconds giving you opportunity to cancel. It's not really 'undo send' so much as 'delay send'.

When you click send, it doesn't send the email immediately -- it waits a very short amount of time (10 seconds or so? I forget exactly how long) before sending. That's usually enough time to shout "Ohshit I forgot to include this info" and stop the send.

So it's a bit of a misnomer. It doesn't undo the sending of an email, it just pauses for a while, THEN sends it.

Also, Inbox by Google is free for everyone now, so why aren't people using that? It's so much nicer!

I tried Inbox, it just didn't click with me. I can't pinpoint what it was, but it just didn't seem as functional as Gmail.
