Use Google Street View To Find The Best Room Locations In A Hotel

When you’re staying in a hotel, noise can be a problem. We know to avoid low-level rooms by the street or any room near a lift, but sometimes you have other noisemakers to contend with. Google Street View can help you find them.

When I was planning a holiday a few weeks ago, I went looking at hotels I liked and narrowed the choices down to two. I wasn’t exactly sure what was near one of them, so I mapped it out on Google Street View. I instantly noticed a large monorail that runs right by all rooms on one side of the building. I knew if I was going to book my stay there, I needed to ask for a room on pretty much any other side.

So, before you book your room, check Google Street View on your hotel. There’s a lot you can learn.
