Android: Tasker may be our favourite automation tool for Android, but sometimes it’s a little more complicated than necessary. If all you want to do is switch settings between work and home, SwiP is a dead-simple alternative.
The app allows you to set up custom profiles for specific arrangements of settings including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ringer volume and mode, brightness, and screen timeout. You can set up the profile to change based on location, time of day, or even the state of the battery. While it’s not as feature-rich as Tasker, it’s much more streamlined. If all you want is to turn off Wi-Fi when you leave the house, SwiP may be much easier.
