We’ve talked about ways to getthat raise or promotion you deserve before, but one easy thing to do right now is to surround yourself with coworkers who are positive and upbeat about the work they’re doing. Their energy will rub off on you, and you’ll be more inclined to put in the time and effort yourself to get ahead.

Sure, we’ve discussed how you should work on the big priorities and take advantage of all the training you can get, but there’s also something to be said for positivity and remaining upbeat in the workplace. You don’t have to love your job, and you don’t have to be artificially bubbly (or surround yourself with artificially bubbly people), but being positive goes a long way.
