Make A Kite Out Of An Old Umbrella

Make A Kite Out Of An Old Umbrella

Perhaps you’ve always wanted a fancy delta kite but just didn’t want to invest the $US30-40 necessary to acquire one of quality. (Or maybe you’ll just find this project fun and interesting.) If you’ve got an umbrella, you can turn it into a kite.

Instructables users bigape did just that with an old, broken pocket umbrella. You don’t need some great, expensive option. It doesn’t even have to work anymore. You do need a few (inexpensive) parts in addition to the umbrella, however, including a bent bicycle wheel, plastic and aluminium pipes, and an empty hair gel tube (among other things). If you want a fun project to enjoy what’s left of the sun this year, check out the full post on Instructables for all the details.
