How To Switch Off Feedly’s Popular Post List

RSS reader Feedly recently added a feature that highlights popular posts within your feed at the top, even after you’ve read them. If you find this annoying, it’s easy to turn it off.

While I can see that the feature might be useful for people with extensive feed lists who want to check out content that has already proved popular with other users, for me it’s a nuisance since it means I can’t rapidly navigate to new posts. If you’re in that camp, it’s easy to switch off:

  • Click on Preferences at the bottom of the left-hand column.
  • Switch the ‘Popular’ option (third down the screen) to ‘No’. It changes immediately.

Easy!
