You may not have your dream job now. If Bill Murray is any indication of a worthwhile career though, having an obscure or seemingly unimportant job is no reason not to take it seriously.
We all face the feeling of being unimportant at some point in our careers. However, the world needs golf caddies and comedians just as much as it needs doctors and Oscar winners. Although, if you can dabble in all of them, more power to you.
Regardless of what you do for a living, taking your job seriously can not only be rewarding in itself, it can lead to even better jobs down the road.
