If you’re an AFL fanatic and you want to follow your team to every game, this could be a lifesaver. Travel search engine Adioso has added an option that will find the cheapest flights from your home location to the city where AFL matches for your team are scheduled.
Enter your supported team and the site automatically detects your location and then identifies the cheapest flights for all scheduled matches. You can tweak the amount of days you spend away, and use Adioso’s notification system to alert you when flights for specific dates hit a specified price.
In my quick testing, flights from Virgin, Jetstar, Tiger and Qantas all showed up. Adioso plans to extend the concept to other major sporting events.
