iPhone: Fake phone call escapes are nothing new, but Fake-A-Call has a certain style when it comes to deliberately faking an important call. The screen looks real, the caller ID is custom and there’s even a fake answer recording.
Whenever you think it’s appropriate to create a fake call, “mute”, tell your unwanted conversationalist that you “need to take this”, then turn on speakerphone as you’re walking away, for rather stunning verisimilitude. It’s a free app with advertising in the App Store; the ad-free version is $0.99.
