Rdio Updates Android App With Better Search, Easier Navigation, Top Charts

Rdio updated its Android app today, with a bunch of new pages for discovering music, a better search engine and better support for your offline music. Rdio’s old Android app wasn’t bad, per se, but the interface could have used some work. The new app has been completely redesigned, adding a new home screen with lots of options for finding new music, like viewing a list of new releases, top charts, recommendations or their own collection. The best part, though, is the improvement of the search (which now searches playlists and people as well as albums, artists and songs) and offline listening. Now, you can view your synced offline music with one tap rather than having to go into offline mode completely, which is nice. Hit the link to check out the new version.

Rdio is a free download for all Android devices, requires a $12.90/month Rdio Unlimited account to use. There’s a one-week free trial available.
