Swiftly Navigate Through Gmail With These G+ Shortcuts

It’s not hard to navigate through Gmail with your mouse, but your keyboard is so much faster. Google’s created plenty of keyboard shortcuts that start with G that will transport you practically anywhere in your mailbox.

For example, typing the letter G and then the letter A will show all your mail. G and then I will take you to your inbox. Here’s the full list:

  • g+ i = Go to Inbox
  • g+ s = Go to Starred conversations
  • g+ t = Go to Sent messages
  • g+ d = Go to Drafts
  • g+ a = Go to All mail
  • g+ c = Go to Contacts
  • g+ b = Go to Buzz
  • g+ k = Go to Tasks
  • g+ l = Go to Label

They’re very handy and can save you a ton of time. For a demonstration, be sure to watch the video above.

Note: if you can’t get this to work, make sure you have shortcuts enabled in Gmail. If you enable them, click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the Gmail page and choose Mail settings. This will load a page with options, and the second option will be keyboard shortcuts with an on and off option. Choose on, save your changes, and everything should work beautifully.
