Clean And Disinfect Your Dish Brush With A Bath In Vinegar And Soap

Most dish brushes can be cleaned in the dishwasher, but if you have one that’s made of wood or you don’t have a dishwasher, this simple trick will get it clean.

If your brush is dishwasher safe, it’s safe sitting on the top rack. Just run it with hot water and heated drying. If you can’t throw it in a dishwasher, Joleen First at The Kitchn suggests a mix of vinegar and dishwasher soap will do the trick. Remove the food bits from the brush, add one cup of white distilled vinegar to a glass, then add a few drops of liquid soap. Stick the brush in the glass, stir and let it sit for about an hour. Once let it dry you’ll have a nice, clean dish brush that’s ready for action.
