It's been a few weeks since I finished my look at different Windows 10 systems, that culminated in buying a Lenovo Miix 510. Since then, I've been flipping between using Windows 10 on the Miix 510 and a desktop, a Mac mini, and an iPad Air 2 running iOS 11. I've added in a few days running an Acer Spin 7 to the mix and it's a great system.
Yesterday, Acer launched the C720P Chromebook in Australia -- the first model with an inbuilt touchscreen. Like the recent spate of Windows 8 notebooks, its LED boasts 10-point touch functionality for added "fun and immersion". But is there actually any point to this when using Chrome OS? Apparently, that will largely depend on what developers choose to do with it.

A quick note for anyone previously tempted by the Motorola Xoom: Telstra has dropped its outright buy price from $840 to $648. Telstra has also added the Acer Iconia Tab A501 to its lineup; that one goes for $696.
There's no shortage of Android phones on sale in Australia, but that doesn't mean new choices aren't welcome. Acer has rather dramatically increased the range of choices on offer, with five new Android-based models going on sale this month.
