Turn Old Starbucks Cups Into Spill-Proof Paint Holders

I love seeing my child paint. I fear seeing my child paint. These two feelings coexist. Whenever my six-year-old daughter is ready to go full Jackson Pollock at her art table, I’ll usually squeeze some paint into a few paper bowls. But the Parent Pack shares a way to keep things cleaner: Pour the paint into clear cups with dome lids. Starbucks’ Frappuccino cups are perfect.

Why cups with dome lids? The shape lets kids easily scrape the excess paint off the brush. And if the cup topples over, the lid can block some of the splashing. (I would also drop a rock inside to weigh it down.)

Then when your kid is all done with their masterpiece, you can wash the cup and use it again next time. Time to go out and grab a matcha green tea Frappuccino — for the sake of art, of course.
