If you do any bread baking, you know what a pain it can be getting dough off your bowls and utensils, especially if you don’t get to it right away. Make things a little easier by soaking in cold water first.

Dough sticks the way it does because of the gluten in the dough. Hot water tends to strengthen the gluten and make things even stickier. Instead, soak your dough-covered tools in cold water for about 10 minutes.
This will help relax the gluten. Use your fingers to gently rub the dough off. If you’re working in a bowl or sink full of cold water, you can usually gather the dough up as a single blob and toss it in the garbage rather than let it go down the drain.
At this point, you can wash your stuff off easily with hot water and detergent and as a bonus, not end up with a dough-covered sponge.

Another way that works for tools and hands alike is to get more flour and rub it on the whole lot.
Wash clothes stained with laser printer toner with cold water so it doesn’t set.
I find oil works quite well too. I usually use it when i’m about to integrate it into my dough
