When the Adirondack chairs hit the lawn, you know summer has officially started. These classic beauties can be expensive to buy, but are actually easier to build than you think.
The secret to building these chairs is in the templates made from MDF or plywood, which you can get from Woodworkers Journal at the link below. Woodworkers of all skill levels can build these chairs, but you will need the proper tools: a cordless drill, miter saw, router, jigsaw, and sander.
Use 2cm stock for your building material. Just make sure you stain the chair with a poly or paint it with weather resistant outdoor paint to protect it from the elements.
With a bit of patience, you’ll be kicking back and sipping lemonade on your lawn, while relaxing in your new chairs.
