Homemade spreadable butter is surprisingly easy to make. With only a few ingredients and a bit of time, you can save money and control the end quality and taste.
All you need is 250g of butter and half a cup of canola oil. Live Pretty’s directions suggesting blending these with a mixer, but you could also use a food processor, a hand blender, or just a regular kitchen utensil and some elbow grease. If you don’t like canola oil, extra virgin olive oil is also an option.

So uhh, you need butter to make butter… Great!
Spreadable butter.
Personally I’ll stick to regular butter, the mainland butter is spreadable without vegetable oil or other additives.
