Looking good doesn’t stop at finding clothes that fit well. You still have to dress yourself. For those times you need to tuck your shirt in, The Art of Manliness shows off four different techniques.
The four tucks listed here are pretty simple:
- The basic trouser tuck: the most common method that’s basically just pulling up your pants over your shirt. The problem is that this method only looks good with a fitted shirt.
- The military tuck: We’ve talked about this one before and it’s a simple way to hide away excess fabric in a loose-fitting shirt.
- The underwear tuck: This one is for singlet wearers. Tuck your singlet into your underwear, then your regular shirt into your pants as normal.
- Shirt stays: shirt stays are pretty much only for extreme tucking situations, but if you’d really that shirt to stay tucked, these clip your shirt to your socks using a small elastic garter.
That’s it. Four ways to tuck in your shirt that are good in different situations. Head over to the Art of Manliness for a lot more detail.
